Kate and William’s Royal Tour Dates
Royal officials published plans for Kate and William’s 11-day tour on Monday and the two will experience “the diversity, vibrancy of Canada, its geography and people,” says a source at St. James’s Palace.
The full and final schedule will not be available until mid-June, but it is clear by the excitement surrounding the first Royal tour that the couple are excited about sharing themeselves with the people of Canada and California.
The Canadian leg of their visit is set as follows:
June 30-July 2: Ottawa, Ontario and Gatineau, Quebec
July 2: Montreal, Quebec
July 3: Quebec City, Quebec
July 3-4: Charlottetown, Prince Edward Island
July 4: Summerside, Prince Edward Island
July 4-6: Yellowknife, Northwest Territories
July 6-8: Calgary, Alberta
July 8, they fly to Los Angeles, California but Royal sources are trying hard to downplay any interaction with celebrities. ”The couple view this as a working visit, not as an opportunity for them to meet celebrities,” the palace source says. “They’ll be promoting Britain through “the prism of their own interests.”
A report in London’s Daily Mail says that Kate will require 40 different dress changes and that she is busy working with a French tutor in an effort to learn Canada’s second language. As previously indicated, the couple’s entourage will be kept to a minimum.
