Kate and William to Attend Charity Gala

For their first official public event since they returned from their honeymoon, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will attend the regal 10th Annual Absolute Return for Kids gala dinner, which benefits the foundation for Prince William and Prince Harry.

The June 9 event will take place at Perks Field, which is located very close to William’s childhood home of Kensington Palace.  In a statement, the palace says that the princes’ foundation and ARK “share a common vision and commitment to transform the lives of disadvantaged children in the U.K. and around the world.”

The couple’s appearance will be in recognition of “ARK’s work and achievements on behalf of children around the world as the charity commemorates its 10th year,” says a palace source.
