Whisked Away to Rome, Paris, Barcelona? Nope, How About Anglesey…

On Saturday morning following their wedding, Kate and William departed Buckingham Palace in style with the help of a helicopter.  Their destination was unknown and all that Clarence House would announce was that the Royal newlyweds would spend the weekend together in England before Prince William returned to his job as a search and rescue pilot.  Their honeymoon, Clarence House said, would begin after that time.

Rolling Hills of Anglesey

Well, now we know where Kate and Will spent their first weekend as husband and wife.  The two departed Buckingham Palace for the uber romantic location of…their rented home in Anglesey.  Wha?  Anglesey?  Quiet little, sleepy little, Anglesey?  The far corner of the UK where William works with the RAF and where they’ve spent nearly every day for the past two years while living there?

Yes, it’s true.

Word has leaked that after the “survivor’s breakfast” that was hosted by Prince Harry the morning after the wedding, the Royal couple headed home for some peaceful time away from the cameras and the noise of London.  London’s The Daily Mail is reporting a Royal insider, stating, ”William and Kate spent their honeymoon weekend at home in Anglesey [Wales].  There were rumours that they were in various parts of Europe, but they actually just went home and stayed indoors the whole time. It was a cozy weekend.”
