Clarence House today announced that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit California (and likely Los Angeles) on an official North American tour that will also see them visit Canada.

Following their visit to all corners of Canada in late June, Kate and William will travel to California.  Their exact itinerary has not been announced nor has it been announced whether or not the Royal couple will add onto to their destination list.

William has previously visited California in a non-official capacity with his mother, Princess Diana, and brother Harry. Kate has never visited the United States, according to Clarence House.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit California, United States of America, following their Tour of Canada in July this year.  The Couple will visit the State of California from 8th July to 10th July 2011.  A detailed itinerary will be published at a later date.”

As this is an official visit abroad for the Duke and Duchess, it is expected they will visit government dignitaries and partake in  philanthropic and charitable events.  At KateMiddleton.com, we also think the Royal couple will no doubt visit with their friends David and Victoria Beckham, and perhaps attend a Galaxy soccer game.
